Policy:
Animal health and safety are of primary importance when using the imaging facility. Animal use must be restricted to certain hours of the day. INST follows all federal and state regulations and guidelines and all IACUC policies and procedures for the use of animals in research.
Procedure:
1. In general, INST will allow animal use of the imaging equipment after 5:00 pm on weekdays. To schedule an animal between these hours, the researcher/clinician must use the schedule on the INST website according to INST scheduling procedures.
3. Any researcher/clinician with special needs (i.e. animals that cannot come into contact with other animals, etc.) must contact INST before scheduling.
Responsible Individuals:
Persons without proper authorization will be removed immediately. Failure to follow this procedure will be subject to disciplinary action and/or loss of privileges. Each Department/College using the facility is responsible for ensuring their researchers/clinicians' compliance.
