Policy:

The INST Systems Administration Unit exists to facilitate research. As such, the Systems Administrator and his or her staff will provide whatever reasonable pre-award support possible to persons wishing to submit grants through INST.

Procedure:

• Requests for the Systems Administration Staff to research, price, specify, or locate equipment will be accepted only from Faculty members who will be listed as PI or CO-PI on the grant application. Faculty members can request that the Systems Administration Staff communicate with Graduate Students, but the initial request must come from the Faculty member.

• Such requests will only be accepted via e-mail to help@inst.msstate.edu.

• The Systems Administration Unit will not be able to perform any research or tasks that require costs be incurred (such as travel) unless these costs are covered by the Faculty member.

• There will be no charge for time spent by INST staff.
