Policy:

The INST Systems Administration Unit is dedicated to protecting the integrity and availability of the systems and data that we manage. Due to the nature of business conducted at INST, security is of the utmost importance on all levels.

Procedure:

1. INST will employ the usage of a firewall to protect computing assets from malicious or coincidental outside interference.

2. The Systems Administration Unit will assign strong administrative passwords to all INST systems. These passwords will be changed on a regular interval to be determined by the Systems Administrator.

3. User Accounts will be monitored for misuse. Any user no longer affiliated with INST will have their access revoked immediately.

4. The Systems Administration Unit keeps a close eye on all INST systems in a preventative and investigative effort to preclude inappropriate use and unauthorized access.[
